A wonderful trip

My bf came last Sat & returned on Wed night. It's only been 4 days but we miss each other so much already, esp. when i see the photos we took during the time he was here. I enjoyed the "tour" as much as he did. If only he could stay longer or I could take leave from school to spend more time with him.....

In 5 days he took almost 300 shots. I've uploaded them to Yahoo Photos (Japan) so that he can email his friends.

MRT/Bus nuisance

Down with a headache today, I went home the moment lessons ended. As it's early i hoped i could get a seat on the train & sleep for a while. Yes, i did get a seat. Unfortunately i was beside an irritating fat woman (who looks 30+)who took up some space of my seat. The moment she sat down, she started chatting on her stupid hp. From what i heard, it wasn't any work or business dicussions. Just a normal chat (read: gossip) punctuated occasionally with a loud "kena sai!"

She really irritated me, esp. when i'm already in a bad mood from the headache. I fantasized myself telling her "U kena sai ah!" & stuffing her hp into her mouth. Fantasy only lah! Finally i could take it no more, mumbled a "so noisy" & took out my mp3. I adjusted the volume loud enough to drown out her voice till i reach my stop before my ears turn deaf. "Deaf from mp3" sounds better than "deaf from kena sai voice", right?

Singapore should learn from Japan. In Japan, nobody chats on their hp on the train/buses. And their hp are all on silent mode. U'll see pp sending/receiving sms but no irritating ringtones coz it's all in silent mode on public transport. There're signs on trains/bus to put hp on silent mode, so as not to disturb other passengers.

Even when trains/buses are packed, it's usually very quiet. Passengers either read books or sms or simply look straight quietly. Friends talk to each other softly too. But in Singapore, some idiots even hold mini concerts on trains! And other idiots shout across seats talking to each other on the bus. Irritating!

I need a break!

This morning when my alarm clock rang, my first thought was "It's Sunday! Why is it ringing at 6 am?" I switched it off & was about to go back to sleep when i realised it's not Sunday. "Can't be Sunday! It's a workday, but i don't know what day"

SOB!!! Feel so blue at work. Not school, but at that centre marking papers. School was ok. The kids are quite ok. It's the usual complaints -- ignore instructions, noisy etc.. Probably i feel so tired that i find it a drag going for the 2nd part-time job which is boring yet taxing on the eyes.

Maybe i should quit it and concentrate on teaching. Less $$ but more beauty rest...so tired now....

Singapore Tour

Yes, it's confirmed! My bf's coming to S'pore for a visit in mid-Sept. I'm very excited & happy!! It's his first trip to S'pore. It's been almost 6 mths since we last met. I miss him so much....

I've been helping him plan this 5-day trip. From sourcing of air-tickets to flight schedules & now planning of itinerary. Planning a tour of Singapore is the most challenging task. As I have to work, he has to explore S'pore on his own in the mornings & I'll join him in the afternoons. And there's a list of "must-try" local food he wants to eat which I've to fit in somewhere in the tour. Big headache!!

Here comes my family to the rescue!! Last Sunday my parents, sis & I spent hours planning the tour together. My parents offered to bring him around in the mornings, and i'll take care of the afternoon tour. Saturday & Sunday will be a family outing to some farms in ulu Lim Chu Kang. With my parents & sister's input & support, the S'pore tour itinerary's done. Fully packed with activities & sightseeing & food, I don't even know where to slot in a time for him to meet my good friends!

I'm most touched by my family's support & enthusiasm. My mum plans to skip her whole week of yoga classes to join the "A.M. tour" & my sister might be taking time off work to join on some days. Daddy's the best! He's the "Weekend + A.M. tour-guide cum driver", taking time off from work to bring him around. And treating him to lots of yummy meals too!

Hope my bf can get along well with my family & leave a good impression despite the "chicken & duck talk" challenge. Hope this trip will be an enjoyable one for my family too!

Counting down to Sept 16.....

It's work again...

My 1-month vacation is ending THIS week! It's back to work this Friday. Oh no, my internal clock has been set to "ring" at 9 - 10am during this period. Soon it'll be back to 6am again! *sob sob* Haiz, there goes my daily TV marathon, internet chats, lazing at home. Hmm....when's the next school vacation?
