Back from my honeymoon & I've been swamped with 1 thing after another. Tiring. Here are some brief updates on what's been happening:
My dearest laptop is confirmed dead and I'm waiting for my brother to change the hard-disk for me. Almost all data are gone but at least I don't have to buy a new pc. Think I'm quite a lucky gal, always pampered by my brother & most of my male frds. All I did was send out a distress sms to my brother's friend & he immed offered to check for me, then my bro sent the pc to him. I didn't have to do anything. Heehee...
Before the honeymoon (18 - 24/3) was of course my big day on 16/3. I shall cover that in detail another day when I get hold of my own pc. It was a tiring but fun day. But I think those people sabo-ing us had more fun lor. We went to New Zealand for honeymoon 2 days after the wedding. It's really tiring to be rushing off for honeymoon so soon after wedding coz had to unpack from wedding then pack for NZ. Details of NZ to be in another post too. Just too much to write in a post lah.
Anyway, after we came back, hubby had only 1 day to rest in S'pore before flying back to Japan on 26/3. We relaxed at home and did some last min shopping. After sending him off in the morning I went home to clear up the mess at home, did some admin work of recording angbao collection, total wedding expenses etc.
My Jap friend's family was scheduled to arrive in the evening the same day. They were here for a holiday but since he's working, I decided to help him to pick them up from the airport together with a friend. From 26/3 - 28/3, I was a part-time tour guide for them. Yesterday was my "off day" which I spent settling my family's travel plans at JTB. Not feeling well, I went home to rest for the rest of the evening.
Today I still dun feel 100% well, so shall stay home to rest, read a book & blog!

My laptop is DEAD!
I should be feeling happy & excited today coz i'm off to New Zealand for my honeymoon this evening. BUT my dearest laptop computer died on me this morning. I can't get over it. It's been with me for almost 5 years, serving me well w/o any problems and now suddenly just die. Not sure if it can be saved. Can only hope my brother's friend can save it or some IT expert can save it. Please dun die!!

My students & I
P5 class. Don't exactly like them very much so no farewell photos with them. They are a nightmare to teach! This was taken during last year's Halloween class party. After many posts regarding school & students, you finally get to see their faces. Cute group of kids, right? With such adorable & playful kids, it's no wonder that teachers like us end up being crazy & childish too!

End of a chapter
Today's my last day at school. Felt a little sad but managed to keep my spirits up. I almost teared while writing notes to my closest colleagues last night. I'm really happy working here with them, lunching with them, gossiping with them. I'd probably not be able to experience this again.
I passed them the gifts & cards in the morning. One of them teared upon receiving the gift. Wah, see the gift cry already. Wait till she reads the message I wrote!
I had my full 5 classes today. No mood to teach my P5s coz they've always been a pain in the *ss. Can't wait to get rid of them! Next was my P3s. Nice kids but no mood to do anything with them so let them play board games while I pack my stuffs. Next was my P1 & P2. We played "action-filled" games with lots of running around & had tonnes of fun. Very tiring though. After lunch was my last class, which is my favorite P4. Love my P4 gals. They are so sweet! We played games & I did a short speech in Japanese upon their request. Hugged everyone of them. Most of them have been with me for 2 years so we're quite close. Hope they'll write to me one day.
Stayed in school for an hour to clear up everything in the classroom & went home. Duno how to describe how I felt when I left the school. Sad? Relieved? Lost? Happy? I guess a little of each.
Anyway, this marks the end of my teaching life in this school. I do not know what awaits me in the future. I can only hope that it'll turn out well. I've to continue to fight on!

Farewell party
We had a "end-of-term" party in school today. It was also a farewell party for myself & another teacher. The teachers cooked many dishes and decorated the classroom for the party. Boss gave me a bouquet of flowers & a farewell gift shared by the teachers. I thought I would be sad & cry but I didn't. I was very depressed upon handing in my resignation 3 weeks ago but I guess now I'm handling it better.

A letter to Ah Ke
My dearest Ah Ke
I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you from the attack. I wish I was the one being hit. It breaks my heart to see you in that state. No matter how we try to patch you up, the scar will always be there. I'm so afraid that your face will crumble if I hug you any tighter. I'm really sorry. It's my fault that you had to go through that. I promise to bring you to Japan. You will live with us. I'll protect you for as long as I live. I'll always love you.
I curse the person who did that to you to die a terrible death, to suffer a crushed skull to know how you felt in that attack.

Home
Home sweet home? Nothing beats being at home? BULLSHIT!
ya, maybe it's true if we're talking about your own personal home where the only occupant is yourself. I miss those days of living in Japan alone. That was truly a home where I set my own house rules & did things I liked. I've never been happier, never mind those scary days of killing cockroaches. My little studio apartment was so cozy, it's hard to feel lonely.
What a contrast I'm living now. A big empty home cum prison. Whatever I want to do, I've to think twice. Can't afford to offend the prison warden who wouldn't hesitate to kill. I hate this home. I wish I can fix a kitchen in my bedroom and fix a door to go out from my bedroom. A real little home within a prison.
Thank god I'm moving on to a new home in 2 mth's time. I wish I can create a cozy home environment for my hubby & I. I wish we'll be so happy in our new home we wouldn't want to go anywhere else except home.
Now I just can't wait to get out of here.....
