Welcome to my new blog!! It’s not that new actually. It’s just a continuation from the previous blog that was closed in June'05 (http://www.pohleen.blogspot.com). I was very upset to close it because it’s like shutting off another part of me. I wanted to continue writing, but simply lost the motivation for writing after that, until now. So there're no entries in the whole month of July, and my new entries are from this date (28/Aug) onwards.
New blog address. New background. But it’s still same old crazy me writing my nonsense (^-^) I’ve transferred all my entries from previous blog here. In the process I added photos to some of them. It’s a tedious process – copy entries on word, delete post (because I want to keep my old blog with just one entry – my parting entry), paste entries on new post, re-do the formatting. But it’s interesting because I read through all my 66 entries during the process… it’s like going down memory lane for me, to know what I felt at certain points in time.
Anyway, if you’ve read my parting entry in the previous blog, you’d know that something happened regarding the blog, and it hurt me so much that I closed it. And the lesson learnt was not to trust everyone so easily. So those of you reading this entry of mine now, I trust you. And I believe you’d not betray the trust & confidence I have in you, that you’d read my entries with an open-mind – laugh with me at my nonsense, sympathize with what I go through, feel happy for me when I’m happy. In short, being the wonderful friend you’ve always been to me.
Happy reading!

Lovesick
Long-distance relationship is really tough!! Miss him so much but don’t get to see or talk to him daily. Looking at his/our photos everyday & going through our email exchanges makes me more lovesick than ever…
For your infor, my Teru has been M-I-A for almost a week!! Before anyone jumps to any conclusion, let me clarify that I know why he’s missing from me. He’s busy with work. He has to teach from 8am – 6pm (official time). Add in 1 hour earlier to travel to work, and extra coaching after class, he’s home late & tired everyday. Though I wish he could just squeeze in a bit of time to email me, I don’t wish to give him additional stress.
I find it strange & worrying that I trust him so much. It’s as if I’ve known him for a long time, or know him well, that I’m confident that he isn’t cheating on me. And I’m worried about my absolute trust in him. I’m scared that if, what if, one day he isn’t as trustworthy as I thought? How am I going to handle it? When things run too smoothly, I just get worried.
That aside, despite the lack of communication & interaction, I’d say we’re still very much in love and this relationship is progressing pretty well. Weekly 1-hr calls are tough on our pockets (actually it’s mine only ~ it’s too expensive to call from Japan so i refused to let him call me). And it’s always so hard to end the call coz we don’t bear to…haiz…
Talking on the phone is interesting for us, coz it’s still chicken & duck talk at this stage. It’d probably be so for a long time coz I just don’t seem to be improving in Japanese. And he’s having a tougher time than me in mastering English for now. So he makes do with my broken Japanese and tries to figure out what I say in Singlish!
We don’t know what the future holds for us, but for now, we’re just happy to have each other. Counting down to September 28 everyday… another 31 more days to go…

My sister's big day!

nope...don't get wrong meaning. It's not her wedding yet!! It's her graduation! \(^0^)/The baby of the family finally achieved her degree on 26 Aug 2005.
So all of us went down to SIM on that day to attend her convocation. Well, we all know that convos are boring. Hers is no exception.
I went down early with her to help with wearing of the convo gown, take photos etc. After that just waited for the convo to start/end. It was so boring during the convo that i started drawing...ok, i know that's rude. But hey, at least i wasn't reading newspapers like what some audience did!!
After the convo we pigged out at the reception. Guess what? It's Kriston food!!! In case u are wondering why i'm reacting this way... well... Kriston catering was the one selling food at the Expo in Japan. And their food sucks. I guess they didn't bother preparing good food in Japan since most visitors eating it has not had a chance to try authentic S'pore cuisine yet. Anyway, there were a few edible items at the reception. We occupied ourselves with eating while my sister was busy taking photos with her classmates.
When all was done, we headed down to Chijmes to take more photos, followed by dinner at Gyu-kaku. I love the food there! It's a little pricey but food is quite delicious. Supposed to be a treat by my sister, but she forgot to bring her wallet along...hmm...
That's how my sister celebrated her convocation. I can hardly remember what i did when i graduated....just remember i took lots of photos...but with only that handful of friends...
Life back home
I’ve been back for 1.5mths & I’m happy here! (^-^)b
Having my family & friends’ support back here, and being away from the stupid Expo site helped me recover faster than I expected. I’m no longer the super temperamental nervous wreak I was at the Expo.
My work momentum was still there when I returned, so days after I came back I started my job hunt. A week later I attended interviews. And the following week I started work on a 2 months contract as a HR assistant. It’s nice to be back doing something I’m familiar with & enjoy doing. After work I’d go home and relax, watch TV, read, surf net. On weekends I’d just laze around at home. I finally got my relaxing life back! (^-^)V
I still keep in touch with my team thru msn. I certainly don’t miss the work there, nor miss too many people there. Just want to keep in touch with some of them. And also keep up with the various dramas (read: gossips!) at the pavilion!
I’m now counting down to end September (end of Expo) with them, not because I’m dying to meet them back in Spore, but rather because I’m going to Japan in end September! Yes! I’m going back to Japan!! This time’s back to Kagoshima for a 2 weeks’ holiday with my bf. When I was still working there, I promised that I’d go to Kagoshima when the Expo ends. Now that I’m back in Spore, I’d still keep my word. It’s not just a matter of keeping my promise, but I really wish to spend time with him. We’ve not met each other since May when I was there for a short holiday.
Still saving $$ for the trip…dieting now in order to eat more in Japan later…
