Today we organized a party for the P1-3 kids to introduce them to Chinese New Year culture. In previous years, it was handled by a senior staff. This year another teacher was given the task of organizing. I guess when there is a change in management, the new person would tend to try out new things and not follow what has been done/worked well.
This party turned out to be a real bore. I was checking the clock every few minutes. Some of us were yawning away. There was too much time left and we had to drag the games to kill time. The kids had fun but they probably left the party hall not learning anything about CNY culture.
Please bring back the old CNY party!!
